Happy Memorial Day!!

I don't know about you but to ME,
any holiday just feels a bit 'lighter'.
Does that make sense? ;-)

Bright and early Saturday morning
I was hit by a gal running a VERY
red light. Luckily I was making a
U-Turn and not going very quickly
when she ran her red light. I'm
also extremely appreciative that
everyone was OK, but something
VERY interesting happened......

after we had exchanged
information, I had snapped a few
phone photos and were now on a
first named basis I did something
I've NEVER done before. I gave
her a BIG hug.

I have no idea why or what came
over me to be honest, but when
I stepped back she had the
BIGGEST smile on her face I have
EVER seen. I mean that literally!
I have never seen someone smile
like that.

Next thing I knew I was driving
home and reflecting on what had
just happened. Did I hug her
because of the accident or did the
accident happen for the hug? We
will never really know but I can tell
you one thing is for sure..... I felt
a TON better after having had the
accident and the hug then I did
before it happened!!
